In researching info on Memorial Park in Neenah I found a small park in Fox Crossing. Woodland Prairie Park is a small sliver of land just across Hwy CB from the Fox Crossing Municipal Building. My wife and I decided to check it out this week.

Key Features
- Biking Trails and Ramps
- Walking Trails
Review
I believe that Woodlands Prairie is a newer park. The trails are still pretty rough. Some of them are shared with bike paths and other are gravel road used as access to construction equipment. A gas line is currently being installed under the park.

The parking lot off of Shady Lane is gravel. The sign marking this as a park looks temporary, a plastic sign mounted on metal fence posts. A port’a’poty is the only bath room. There is also no park map at the parking lot.

Besides these short comings, this is a nice little park. The forested section right next to the parking lot consists of pine trees planted in rows. The path lead us through this section of the park. We could hear crows calling out to each other as we walked.

The next section of the park has winding trails for biking and walking with signs indicating the direction of traffic. This leads into the ramps or mountain biking sections. There were many tracks in the snow from people hiking but I did not notice any bike tracks while we were out.

A hiking trail leads from the biking section to the northern forested section of the park. In this area we walked around winding paths through older trees. We also found the Prayer of the Woods, a request to visitors to treat the woods with respect. We also encountered a small flock of robins rooting through the leaves for food.

Woodland Prairie Park is a small park but it still boasts a mile worth of hiking trails. The hike was another short one for my recovering foot.
