This year I think we chose the perfect day to go Christmas Tree Hunting. Yesterday we had the first winter storm of the 2025 to 2026 season.

So today after the skies cleared up we drove north to our favorite Christmas Tree Farm. The ground was covered in several inches of snow.

I snapped a few pictures but nothing stood out beyond what I am posting today. Then we got down to business.
We wandered around the farm for about a half hour until we found our tree. We came to a family consensus and I cut the tree down with my DeWalt Chainsaw.

I then dragged the tree to the office to be netted while my wife and kids paid for the tree. Then they grabbed some of the free hot chocolate and sat down by the fire. Meanwhile I brought the tree back to our car.

I took the time to carefully tie the tree to the top of our car. I am always worried about the tree falling off of our car on the way home. And while I probably could have done a better job securing the tree to the car this year, it stayed on the whole way home.
Welcome to the Christmas Season. Please feel free to leave your holiday stories below and thanks again for reading. Sorry this was a short one its a been a busy week. Next week I promise to have a proper hike to post.
